driving is a pain

This ^ is a sunset in New Mexico. my family and I went on a long drive to Utah. On our first night we stopped and stayed with some friends in New Mexico. It's gorgeous there. You can tell just from the sunset :)

Next we went drove to St. George. It's pretty there too. I got to see my Nana and visit my old friend "Mr. Froggie" (: Mr. Froggie is this huge indoor pool that i remember being super duper fun. I remembered wrong.... it wasn't quite as fun as I was hoping it would be. Carson had a lot of fun though, he loves the pool, he just doesn't like swimming so this pool was perfect for him :)


After St. George we drove to Provo. We went on a tour of BYU and went out to dinner and all sorts of fun stuff. :) I'm going to college there someday and now after seeing the school, I'm even more excited for college than I was before.

Our next stop was Sandy and Salt Lake City. My parents lived in Sandy, Utah about 17 years ago. That's where my older brother was born. We saw the old house and stayed at a hotel. We also went to temple square which was beautiful. The temple looks like a castle :) We went on a tour of the conference center. ITS HUGE!! We also went to the Lion House restaurant and the Joseph Smith Memorial building. That building is so fancy schmancy its really cool :)


Next we went to either Perry or Brigham City, Utah, I'm still confused as to which place my cousins live in at the moment. I was at my cousins for a week :) That was my favorite part of the trip. I got to hold one of their pet chickens, Fluffy and I stayed up late every night(or morning i guess you could say (: ) I went tubing and I shot a gun and rode in the trunk of some kind of little car in pitch blackness :) my hands and feet were taped together and I made white trash smores (which by the way are so delicious) I also went to Crystal Hot Springs and rode down a very fun water slide :)


All in all this trip was a lot of fun :) .....except the driving part. 63 hours of driving in two weeks is a little too much for me. Especially when someone is throwing up for five hours of that. Which is just gross. :P

Oh! On our way home we dropped my older brother off at college...I forgot to mention that part :) oopsie.

White Trash Smores
-Heat oven to 350 F
-Spread a thin layer of peanut butter onto Saltine crackers
-Place a marshmallow on top of each peanut buttery cracker
-Put pan into the oven for 5 minutes, or until the marshmallows are a golden brown :)
-VOILA! :D

make a wishhh

Recently, I have become a bit obsessed with making wishes. Maybe obsessed isn't the right word, but i do make a lot of wishes. I've even made a list of when you can make a wish. It's strange I know, but, you know, I'm a strange person. Would you like to see the list? Of course you would, here it is:
-11:11 (this is the most important wish times)
-12:12
-12:34 (this one is semi-important too, the other ones I'm not even sure if they count)
-1:11
-1:23
-2:22
-3:33
-4:44
-5:55
-10:10
-when you blow on a dandelion
-blow out birthday candles
-first star of the night (I've never actually seen only one star in a night but there is a poem about it so I guess it has happened before)
-shooting stars
-and of course if you rub a lamp and find that it is magic and holds a genie (you can make three wishes if that happens)
There you go. That's my list. There may be more, and some of those may not count, but I wish on them anyways. Sometimes I get in a mood that says, "what's the point in making wishes if they never come true?" but then I think to myself, there is no harm in making wishes. It keeps you hoping and dreaming and whats not good about hoping and dreaming?
well this is a very short post. I realize that but I've got to go and collect toothpaste for a toothpaste drive. Maybe afterward I will get ice cream :D I wouldn't want to miss that....

let it snow let it snow let it snow :)

Today it snowed :) and sure it was only ten minutes...and it didn't land on the ground and stay there...and i didn't get to go out in it...but it snowed :)
the amazing thing was that apparently here, like florida, it NEVER snows. like the last time it snowed was in 2003 or something like that...and so it was pretty amazing it snowed...
A lot of people didn't believe it was going to snow. they said "be reasonable. we live in Texas. it doesn't snow here."
they were proved wrong...those foolish nonbelievers...it snowed and i was happy...until my teacher said we couldn't go outside all because we were taking a "benchmark" and that we needed to "be quiet" :P and then after like all of the classes but mine got to go out...and my teacher was maybe gonna let us go outside...the intercom comes on..." TEACHERS. do NOT take your classes outside. don't even let anyone out of your classrooms..." dumb intercom :( i wanted to see the snow...

well i saw snow now...for the second time in my life...it was kind of pitiful...but i saw it...and it was pretty cool...besides the fact i didn't get to feel it...

trick or treat

today is.....HALLOWEEN! halloween is one of my FAVORITE holidays. you get to play dress up. hang out with friends. get lots and lots of candy. eat lots and lots of candy. then eat even more for weeks afterward. tonight is gonna be the best halloween ive had since i moved here two and a half years ago. those two halloweens before today were the worst halloweens i have ever ever ever had:
-halloween 2007- i went with my mom and dad and my little brother. teenagers like to go with friends right?? well thats how i was. and my mom and my little brother got tired easily so we only went on one street which is pitiful.
-halloween 2008- last year i didn't have any friends to go with. and i did not want to go with my parents again. soooo, i passed out candy thinking someone i knew would come to get candy and i would be able to talk to them or something. i was wrong. one guy came my age... and a million little kids came. it was soooooooooooooooo boring. AND i didn't get candy to eat either because i didn't go trick or treating.

this year will be different. me and my friend have it all planned out. we are going to be dead prom queens. we have prom dresses. we are going to curl our hair. we have little tiaras. we have white face make up. and we are going to wear a lot of eyeliner. then we are going to go around her neighborhood which is huge so we should get lots of candy :D... tonight will be the best halloween EVER!

i can read with my eyes shut

not really, i wish i could. that would be pretty cool. although, according to dr. seuss, its really bad for your eyes, so i suggest you don't try to read with your eyes shut.
lately i have been having some eye troubles:
-first of all i have really bad eye sight so i have to wear glasses or contacts( i hate glasses so i wear contacts)
-last sunday i got my new contacts because i was down to my last pair in the package i had.
-i changed my contacts, but kept my old ones in those little contact holders just in case my new ones fell down the drain or something.
-turns out my new contacts were the wrong perscription, so i can't see with them on. im -3.00 and my new ones were -2.25 and -2.oo, very very wrong perscription.
-since i can't see out of my new contacts i went back to wearing my old contacts, they were fine...at first.
-then on thursday my left eye started getting a little red.
-on friday my eye turned really, really red.
-people would see me and look like it hurt them to look at my eye.
-my eye didn't hurt it was just very red(so red there was no white)
-one girl wouldn't look at me because she was scared of my eye... it was kinda sad.
-on saturday i couldn't put my contact in because it hurt so i just had one in my right eye.
-my dad made me go to the doctor because he wanted me to get something to make it less red.
-it turns out i had an eye infection(big surprise, huh?)
-the doctor says i can't wear contacts in my left eye until after wednesday.
-so instead of wearing my glasses(which are also the wrong perscription)i am wearing one contact in one eye, and no contact in the other
-its kinda weird but i think i'll live.
-i hate my eyes

on facebook the symbols i put as the title make a shark, its pretty cool. i had a pretty good day. in my dance class i had a really easy test. then when everyone was done we sat and talked the rest of class. then in english we took another really easy quiz. and presented powerpoints which was, well, boring, but it was better than working on lessons of some kind. then in my french class some of my classmates wanted to order pizza so we ordered six pizzas in french class. it was interesting and kind of funny. we also played this game kind of like go fish but in french and a little more confusing. at lunch i had jello :D i looooooooooooooooooveeeeeeeee jello. my last period was just boring so i won't say anything about that.
tonight i went and babysat for these two boys. age seven and eleven. it pretty easy. they played video games, then i made popcorn, then we watched a movie. very easy :D plus the boys were nice, they didn't cause any trouble.
now i am home eating olive garden soup and breadstickks. the soup is bothering me. it has beans. i hate beans. and they are getting in the way of me enjoying my soup. beans are almost as bad a potatoes maybe even equally as bad... yep, equally as bad.
i just realized i am tired . i am having trouble staying awake right now. so i am gonna just stop typing here.... and get off the computer.... and then go to bed.... good night! :)

wonderful weekend

this weekend so far has been amazing. on yesterday me and lauren went shopping for homecoming dresses. we did not get a dress but we did have a lot of fun. plus i got a really soft jacket that is light pink from american eagle and a cute quartersleeve shirt from aerie. i found out that i looooove the dressing rooms at aerie they are beautiful. if you haven't gone there you should and just try on something cuz it is so cool in there.
i also spent the night with lauren. it was my first sleep over since i have moved here( two years ago) it was really fun.
when i got home today my friend brittany called and asked if my and my older brother wanted to go cliff diving. of course i said yes. we drove to ________ lake and jumped off cliffs into the water. the cliffs were thirty feet high and it was terrifying while you are in the air. you just kind of fall for a few seconds and then you hit the water. ( my butt still hurts from falling on it)
and now i will be leaving to go to play as a buddy for the miracle league baseball team. i am on the tigers again with my baby brother. i'm excited. it will be fun :D

is it a curse?! am i being punished?!

why do i blush soooo easily!!! i hate it! today i blushed at least twenty times, i bet in my pictures (today was picture day) my face is red because the person asked me to smile! i think my face is permanently red from blushing and sunburns... isn't that just sad.
apparently it runs in my family to blush.
i blush
my older brother blushes( i've never seen him blush but he says he does)
my little sister blushes
my mom blushes
my grandma blushes
and its not just that we blush...
we blush for ourselves
for other people
and sometimes even people on tv
isn't that horrible??
its just tragically sad isn't it?
today in dance i blushed, a few times in dance i blushed
today in second period english i blushed and i could feel my face turning a tomato red, just because some guy asked me why i never wear my bangs down.
i blushed at lunch telling my friends about how much i blushed on my birthday last year
i blushed when one of my moms friends from a long time ago said " she looks just like ______"(my mom)
i blush when people i don't know ask what my name is
i blush when people say "oh my gosh! your face is soooooo oooooo red"
and that just makes me blush even redder


(by the way, if you dont blush and you know people that do, don't mention it to them when they do blush, it just makes them blush redder and its embarrassing, please)


so yeah just thought i would say how much i hate blushing

new title

okay, so i changed the title because i like the title doodle page better than life as a mouse, because this will probably be a really random blog... i don't really know but im pretty sure it will be....
today was not the best day ever... it was actually in my eyes pretty bad and depressing but i'm sure other people have had much worse. this morning i woke up late and missed my bible study like class (seminary). then my bus driver (actually substitute driver) came almost thirty minutes late and i sat in the rain for about fifteen minutes with my friend nathan quoting from videos, shows, and comedians the entire time we were at the bus stop, do you know how much he can say in one minute??? a whole lot.
school was just boring as usual.
after school i almost missed my bus and had to walk through a bunch of mud and wet, soggy grass. and on the bus i got a migraine that lasted about three and a half hours... m&m's usually help but today they just made my head ache worse. i cryed a little but that just makes my head hurt more so i called my friends and felt much better. friends are such a miracle. i love them.
well, yeah, so my day was kinda of depressing so i am going to talk about something else.....

in a few weeks is homecoming. i am working on convincing my dad to let me go, i don't know how well it is working, but i think i have almost convinced him. my dad has been told that high school dances are bad, play bad music, have bad dancing, and just all together bad, and doesn't want me to go to bad places. but ive heard that it is only like that if you hang out with bad people. if you are with good friends it isn't that bad. also my friend said that the music if it is originally bad, is edited to be "school appropriate". now he is going to see if he can chaperone at the dance, i really hope he doesn't that would be weird.
on friday i am going shopping with my friend. i'm excited, i hardly ever get out and do fun things with friends. normally i'll just stay home and play on the computer, read a book, or watch tv. such an interesting life, right?? not really.
i guess that is all i have to say.... my life isn't all that interesting right now....if you even get this far in my blog post with out falling asleep i will be surprised :) ...
